We’re committed to sustainable production methods and use a UK manufacturer to blend the herbs and fill our capsules. They work with us to source the best quality ingredients, organic where possible and with the lowest available “herb miles”. Like us, they are committed to using zero plastic in their shipping packaging, source their electricity from renewable sources and offset their carbon footprint with Ecologi.
The home of Hello Wellness was designed with sustainability in mind. It’s a roundwood building, made from local timber and hemp plaster, so it has a much lower carbon footprint than traditional building materials.
It’s powered by solar panels, and air source heat pumps for heating and hot water, which are much more efficient than traditional heating systems. By reducing our energy consumption, we’re able to reduce our carbon footprint and lessen our impact on the environment.
Another key commitment for Hello Wellness is to make our packaging as sustainable as possible. The packaging we use is reused, recycled and biodegradable wherever possible, otherwise it is fully recyclable. Our pots are made from plant plastic and are fully biodegradable.
Without nature, Hello Wellness would not be where it is today. We look after our planet to produce our range of products from natural and organic ingredients.
We use UK native herbs, reducing their herb miles and therefore the amount of energy required to transport them at each stage of their journey.
We’re not a company who chases the next exotic ‘super herb’, we know that herbs native to the UK provide all the properties we need. For example, research and experience shows us that Lemon Balm can do everything that Ashwagandha does, and can grow easily in your back garden.
We use blends of herbs instead of single ingredients, so that you can often take one of our products instead of several separate things, bringing huge savings in packaging waste.
We also use plant-based capsules which have a lower carbon footprint than a gelatine capsule, also making our products accessible to those committed to a plant-based lifestyle.
Preparation of the natural ingredients in our capsules is a simple process: dried, powdered and blended. Most supplements are processed in a lab using complicated and resource-heavy extraction techniques. We much prefer to trust nature and use the whole plant, in its natural form which the body recognises and can easily absorb.
