Ginger Lozenges: Soothing Throat Relief
These homemade ginger lozenges provide natural relief for sore throats and coughs, combining ginger's powerful anti-inflammatory properties with the soothing effect of a slow-dissolving lozenge. Ginger's active compounds (gingerols) fight inflammation, stimulate circulation, and inhibit inflammatory cytokines to prevent pain. This warming herb also soothes the digestive tract, prevents nausea, and acts as a diaphoretic to promote sweating and reduce fever. Used extensively in Ayurvedic and Chinese traditions, ginger was even one of the protective spices used against the plague.
